Developing the Old Church Depot in Moffat

We are delighted to have received funding from South of Scotland Enterprise (SOSE) to develop options for the use of our main building, for the benefit of the local community. Over the next couple of months we will be working with architects and community engagement specialists to identify possibilities and likely demand from local organisations and individuals. To begin the process we commissioned Community Enterprise to create and facilitate a survey to determine what the people of Moffat and District might require of such a space. All we now need is for as many DG10 residents as possible to complete it: the more people who engage, the more likely we are to identify the best next steps. Clicking on the photograph (right) will take you to the survey, as will clicking here.

If you have any difficulties with the online survey, would prefer a printable PDF version or have further questions, please contact Judith on 07927118995 or judith@communityenterprise.co.uk

Thank you for your time, we really do appreciate it.

The Old Church Depot, which started life as a chapel, has been many things, including a fire-station. What does Moffat need it to be next?

Welcome to the digital space of Space to Grow, Moffat. We are a Scottish Incorporated Charitable Organisation (SCIO – charity number: SC040255) and we aim to use the premises in our care for the benefit of the community of Moffat & District.

These premises consist of: 3684 m square of outdoor space (excluding the front car park) and6808 square feet of building space.

We are currently working with South of Scotland Enterprise (SoSE) to, a) find out what needs these buildings could fill in the community and, b) how to then renovate them to fill those needs.
